Campaigns & goal thermometers

Give each appeal, such as a capital campaign, a gala or an emergency fund, its own donation form, goal and thermometer.

A form for each appeal

A general "donate" form is a fine front door, but campaigns convert because they're specific. Donor Merchant lets you create unlimited campaigns, each a self-contained donation form with its own:

  • Goal - with a live progress thermometer that updates as gifts arrive
  • Suggested amounts - tuned to the ask ($20 for a food drive, $1,000 for a building)
  • Description - the story and the why, right above the form
  • Status - active, draft, or closed
  • End date - optional; the form stops taking gifts after it

Goal thermometers

Progress bars are one of the most reliable conversion boosters in fundraising - social proof and urgency in a single glance. Donor Merchant renders a clean "$18,400 of $25,000" thermometer that fills as completed gifts come in. Drop it on the form, or show it anywhere on your site with a shortcode:

[donor_merchant campaign="3"]          <!-- full form with goal -->
[donor_merchant_progress campaign="3"] <!-- just the thermometer -->

Put the standalone thermometer on your homepage and link it to the campaign page - a proven pattern for momentum.

One set of records

Campaign gifts land in the same donor database, reports, receipts, and CSV export as everything else - each donation tagged with its campaign so you can see exactly what each appeal raised. Recurring gifts and renewals stay attributed to their campaign automatically.

Set realistic, visible goalsA thermometer at 70% pulls harder than one at 5%. For a new campaign, set a first milestone you can pass quickly, then raise it - momentum compounds.

Compared with other plugins

Campaign tooling and goal tracking are included in the free plugin - no tier upgrade, no add-on.
